Investigation finds 100 police officers with criminal records following resignation of Cressida Dick

Investigation carried out over two years following a complaint of MET officers sexual misconduct uncovers 100 police officers with criminal records, 2000 lost warrant cards and millions of pounds’ worth of seized items unaccounted for.
Cressida Dick’s resignation follows accusations of failed leadership and allowance of misogyny, racism and homophobia to take root in the MET police force, along with corruption claims for delaying investigations of the Downing street lockdown breaches.
A severe consequence due to normalisation of misogyny is the murder of Sarah Everard, a young woman falsely arrested, kidnapped, raped and murdered just last year by police officer Wayne Couzens, known to his colleagues as ‘the rapist’.
Proper vetting of MET police officers is evidently not conducted sufficiently as shown through the recent condemnation of officers such as Novlett Robyn Williams, who possessed videos of child abuse without taking action, Dean Reid, who breached a non-molestation order, as well as convicted thief Robin Ruston. Each of these officers are one of hundreds of officers with criminal records.
If our police officers can’t abide by the law, then who will?
