HEAD Boy James Harrison is a keen sportsman both in and out of school. In addition to playing football and rugby, he is a very talented Judo player and has recently attended the Dan gradings, which were held at the Samurai Jodo Club recently. NUNNERY hosted a girls football tournament in which we had 3 teams. We competed agaisnt RGS, The Chase and Tewksbury. It was a big round robin tournament. Over 70 girls played and It was fabulous. The Nunnery girls were amazing. Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils helped out referring and coaching , they were amazing and represented the school so well. MISS Higham, Curriculum Leader for science recently competed in The Women’s Eights Head of the River Race, which was founded in the 1930s with 5 crews participating and has now become the largest women’s rowing race in the world with around 2,880 women racing and up to 320 crews taking part. YEAR 7 student Lucas Halford recently qualified for two under 12s fencing nationals, representing the West Midlands. On the 30th of January 2022, he fought in his first epee competition – he placed first and won a gold medal. Then, on the 13th of February, he fought in the foil competition and placed third. YEAR 10 student, Henry Welsby has been performing exceptionally well in his cycling club. Henry has been a member of Worcester cycling club since August 2021. He has been taking part in several course races from long endurance to 1km sprints.
