THE following students were chosen to represent Nunnery Wood School at a school’s swimming gala which took place on Friday 4th March at Perdiswell Leisure Centre.

Year 9

Miss Foster, P.E teacher said, “It was a really tough competition because of the standard of swimmers but everyone swam well. All students were very supportive of each other and performed to the best of their ability in each race. Overall, it was a wonderful day with a fantastic group of students who were excellent representations of Nunnery.”
Both Tia and Isaac put themselves forward for the gala as they have both been swimming in a club for about 6 years now.
Year 7, Tia Hitchman took first place in her individual race and a couple of second and third places. Tia said, “I enjoyed taking place in the Gala. It was the second time I had competed. I achieved my personal best when I won the breaststroke race.”
Isaac Hale Hussain stepped up for multiple races in the year above and was very successful in these. He said, 2 I took part in several races which were quite tough as most competitors were older than me, but I enjoyed it.”
