IN March the student parliament was visited by local Councillor Matt Lamb. Dr Lamb was recently appointed as the cities first Children and Young People’s champion, which means he will be working as an advocate and spokesperson for young people. Dr Lamb was keen to hear what the students on parliament thought about Worcester and its current offerings for young people and all of the students had lots to say about what they liked and what they thought could be improved. Students engaged really well with the conversation and Dr Lamb was able to take away lots of idea to share with the wider council. Students gave their opinions on litter, the environment, health care provision, education, opportunities for young people as well as raising concerns about mental health and the post pandemic climate.
